Our Montessori school in North Riding is set on a beautiful small-holding, providing a secure, homely environment, just 2km’s from Northgate. Living Montessori respects children as self-directed individuals and fosters their growth toward independence and social responsibility, while creating a joyful, diverse and family-oriented community.
We offer spacious, safe, prepared, exciting classrooms that nurture and respect the child’s individuality. Classes are kept small and intimate, allowing the Montessori philosophy to be fully integrated. Our unique outdoor environment sees nature awakening the child’s spirit to the rhythms and wonders of the world which is integrated with our academic program - children will have the amazing opportunity to feed and look after the animals and plant fruit and vegetable gardens, and be continually engaged in the integrated curriculum.
Facilities and extra murals for kids
We have well maintained playgrounds, a soccer field, rubberised sport court, jungle gyms, egg-laying chickens, rabbits, ducks, tortoises, guinea fowl, various other bird life and 2 pot-belly pigs. We also have simple green-houses for the children to tender, and a fully functional kitchen where the children will cook and bake.
